Tim Burt
Tim Burt is the Director, Strategy and Planning at the Future Skills Organisation, with responsibility for workforce planning, data and research, and policy. Since commencing in July 2023, Tim has overseen the delivery of two Workforce Plans for the Finance, Technology and Business sectors and undertaken a body of research on the impact of AI on the FTB workforce and Vocational Education and Training.
Prior to commencing with the FSO, Tim held senior roles at Business NSW, Urbis and NSW Health, which included responsibility for strategic workforce planning across the health system, intergovernmental negotiations on workforce initiatives and the design and implementation of recruitment and retention strategies.
Tim is the Director, Strategy and Planning at the Future Skills Organisation, with responsibility for the workforce planning and high priority initiatives to drive change across the Finance, Technology and Business sectors. Prior to joining the FSO, Tim was the Senior Policy Manager, Workforce Skills at Business NSW. In that role, he was responsible for policy review and advocacy on behalf of NSW businesses across a broad range of workforce policy areas, including skilled migration, school reforms and vocational education and training.
Previously, Tim worked in the Workforce Planning branch of NSW Health for more than eight years, with responsibility for designing and delivering the NSW Health Professionals Workforce Plan.
