Join the TAFE SA Centre of Excellence in Early Childhood Education and Care for a showcase of workforce development in action. This session offers a dynamic look at how we’re working to enable a skilled, sustainable, and supported early childhood education and care workforce across Australia.

Focussing on year one achievements and core initiatives, you’ll hear about the specialised learning resources, inclusive and accessible Diploma delivery, leadership pathways to retain educators, and the value of a strong relationship with the Jobs and Skills Council HumanAbility, and the national network of TAFEs.

The session will also provide an update on the Centre’s groundbreaking work in leading development of the Vocational Degree in Early Childhood Education, and challenges and successes in collaborating with employers and unions to have the early childhood teacher occupation declared for a degree apprenticeship, an initiative aligned with the recommendations of the Universities Accord.

This fast-paced presentation will highlight successes, challenges and lessons learned and conclude with time for Q&A to connect your own work to sector-wide transformation.
