  1. TAFE Queensland, Mt Gravatt, QLD, Australia

TAFE Queensland is pioneering a new frontier in product innovation and efficiency through the strategic use of emerging technologies. This workshop will explore how artificial intelligence (AI) is being leveraged to fast-track course design and content development, significantly reducing lead times and enhancing responsiveness to industry needs. A key focus will be on the development of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) pathways using AI, a model currently under design and testing, which has attracted interest from other TAFEs including TAFE NSW. The session will also highlight the integration of virtual reality (VR) to enrich student experiences, offering immersive learning environments that foster engagement and retention. These innovations are part of a broader vision to transform educational delivery and operational workflows, ensuring TAFE Queensland remains at the forefront of vocational education. Designed to be interactive, the workshop will invite participants to explore use cases, share insights, and contribute ideas for scaling innovation across the sector. Audience takeaways: · Practical applications of AI in curriculum design and RPL · Collaborative design processes with industry and other TAFEs · Use of immersive technologies to enhance student outcomes · Opportunities to contribute to future-focused innovation strategies
