TAFE SA is driving meaningful change in student experience through innovation in service culture, process redesign, and technology. From enquiry to graduation, our transformation showcases the Power of TAFE to foster belonging and engagement.

A key milestone has been the redesign of the student journey, including a complete overhaul of orientation communications. What was once a single handout is now a dynamic, automated multi-channel campaign via email and SMS, delivering three streams of essential information. This shift has achieved outstanding engagement; open rates over 70% and click-through rates above 14% have reduced enquiries and ensured students are well informed at critical stages. (Mailchimp industry benchmark is 35.64% open / 3.02% CTR)1.

To strengthen student connection, we launched Campus Alive events each semester, blending welcome activities with access to support services in a vibrant, inclusive setting. Alongside centrally coordinated Days of Significance, these events bring together key stakeholders to deliver high-impact cultural experiences that consistently exceed NPS benchmarks.

The Study Skills Hub offers agile, student-centred academic support through a blended model of in-person and digital services. It provides tailored guidance in time management, writing, digital literacy, and critical thinking, ensuring accessibility and inclusion.

Our Careers Alive initiative reimagines career services from 1:1 support to scalable, interactive experiences. Through workshops, professional headshots, and tailored sessions including a bespoke session for international students, we extend career readiness to more students, aligning with strategic goals for success and employability.

This presentation explores how cultural change, process innovation, and digital investment converge to deliver tangible benefits for students and TAFE SA.
