Ensuring assessment compliance is a cornerstone of quality teaching in TAFE. At Bendigo Kangan Institute, we’ve developed the Dandii verification agent, a smart digital tool that automates the compliance check of student assessments before delivery—saving time, reducing risk, and enhancing confidence in curriculum integrity.
Dandii is embedded within our courseware lifecycle and self-assurance processes, acting as a real-time verifier that aligns assessments with training package requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality benchmarks. Crucially, Dandii operates with a human-in-the-loop approach—educators remain central to the process, reviewing flagged items, making final decisions, and ensuring pedagogical intent is preserved.
This presentation will showcase how Dandii was designed and implemented by the Education Design and Self-Assurance Hub, a team of curriculum specialists, digital learning designers, and quality assurance experts. It will highlight the collaborative development process, the technical and pedagogical considerations, and the measurable impact on teaching quality and compliance outcomes.

Dandii exemplifies how TAFE can harness technology to uphold rigorous standards while empowering educators to focus on teaching. It reflects the power of innovation in driving quality and assurance—core to the future of vocational education.
